IKEA HACK Hyllis with CultiKit

How to Install CultiKit in IKEA Hyllis – Step by Step
1. What you’ll need:
1 x CultiKit
2 x LED mounting blocks
👉 If you want to grow on two levels, you’ll also need an extra fan.
2. Unpack and prep
Unbox your Hyllis and CultiKit.
Prepare the shelf for installation.
3. Pre-mount components
Attach the mounting blocks to the LED panels. Prepare the fan using the included guide.
💡 Using an extra fan for a dual-level setup? Only use two screws for fans so they are mounted like this:
4. Connect the cables
Plug all cables into the LED panels and the controller, following the included quick guide.
5. Mount everything
Install the LEDs, fan(s), and controller.
1. Standard setup (dwarf plants):
– 2 x LED panels
– 1 x fan
2. Dual-level setup (greens/herbs):
– 2 x LED panels
– 2 x fans (1 LED and 1 fan per shelf)
Clean surfaces thoroughly before applying tape or adhesive – it won’t stick otherwise.
6. Manage the cables
Tuck cables under the metal edge using a screwdriver or similar tool (gently – avoid scratching the surface), or fix them with zip ties or tape.
7. Assemble and connect power
Assemble the shelf, secure the power supply cable to one of the legs (the side with the controller), and plug it in.
Test the setup to make sure everything powers on.
8. Ready to grow 🌿
