We’re currently experiencing issues with certain features in CultiApp, which may affect how your CultiKit controller works. In short: some things aren’t behaving as they should – and we’re actively working on fixing it.

Please make sure you have the latest version of CultiApp installed.

Below you’ll find an overview of the known issues and what you can do in the meantime:

Firmware update after setup not always working

The issue: Sometimes, the firmware doesn’t update properly after setting up the app.

What to do:
Check the firmware version under “Controller Settings”:

• If it says version 1.3, you’re good – the firmware has updated automatically in the background.

• If it says version 1.1, please do the following:

  1. Delete the controller from the app (Controller settings)

  2. Reset the controller (hold the button for 6 seconds)

  3. Go through the setup process again

We’re working on making this smoother in a future update.

Controller connection issues

The issue: Sometimes changes made in the app are not being applied to the controller.

What to do:

1. Try agin a couple of times

2. Turn the controller off and on again

3. Restart your mobile device

Note: Changes to light intensity can’t be made while sunrise/sunset is running. Set it to 1 minute and try again.

This issue is linked to local WiFi conditions, and we’re investigating a more stable solution.

App stuck loading when setting brightness below fade up/down

The issue: The app may freeze if you set brightness lower than the fade up/down level.

What to do: 
Go to “Menu” → “Controller Settings”, then return to the Home screen. This will restore functionality.

We’re working on a permanent fix.
