Note:
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for CE, RoHS, EMC and RED standards. These are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations.

CultiKit can be installed wherever you want and is easy to work with. Please remember to review the Safety Precautions before starting installation.

Controllers, LED panels and fans can both be installed under cupboards and shelves, as well as inside cupboards, drawers and the like. They can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. It does not necessarily have to be kitchen elements you install CultiKit in. Virtually all types of shelves and cabinets are suitable for installation. It is of course also possible to build your own furniture for the plants.

The controller can be attached with the supplied screws which must be placed with 5 cm spacing to fit keyholes. Strong adhesive tape can also be used.

Fans kan be attached with the supplied screws, adhesive tape or strips. In open setups it is a good idea to place them above or to the side of the plant.

LED panels can be attached with the supplied screws and 10 cm distance to fit keyholes. It is also possible to use rope hangers fixed in the keyholes.

It is possible to install CultiKit in closed setups (inside cabinet or tent) by installing a blower fan and connecting it to fan port 1. Fan for wind simulation can be connected to port 2 (If you are using a hydro- or aeroponic system, the fan and water pump can run on the same on/off interval). Check out video guides for inspiration.

Examples:

LED lights and cables can be hidden behind a list, frame or similar when you install the system. It is also a good idea to use rails or similar to hide cables.

Fans kan be attached with the supplied screws, adhesive tape or strips. Place them above, to the side or below the plants. Use fan covers for safety.

LED panels that are mounted vertically should either run at a maximum of 50% strength, or be shielded to ensure that the light does not disturb.

Connection

1Connect cables to LED panels and the LED ports on the controller with the supplied cables.

2Connect PWM fans to the connector and Fan/pump 1 port. Use PWM splitter cables for multiple fans.

3Connect DC accessories to the 2-pin connector and Fan/pump 2 port. Use splitter cables for multiple devices.

4

Plug in the controller with the power supply, and let the magic begin!

LED ports are preset for sprouts and herbs with 50% brightness. Lights automatically turns on for 12 hours when the controller is connected – then turns off for 12 hours and repeats the cycle.

Connect the controller at the time you want it to start every day or download CultiApp for maximum control.

LED ports:
12-hour on/off cycle with 30-minute up and down dimming. Preset to 50% light power.

Fan/pump port 1:
24-hour cycle with 5-second on and 25-second off loop. Preset to 80% fan power.

Fan/pump port 2:
24-hour cycle with 1-minute on and 5-minute off loop. Preset to 100% power.

The button has three predefined settings and a reset function:

1 click – Toggle status light on/off.
2 click – Change LED power to 100%.
3 click – Change LED to 18 hours on 6 hours off.

Hold 6 sec
– Reset controller (all functions and on/off timing).

Full Control with CultiApp

CultiApp makes it easy to take full control of your system. Simple installation and user-friendly instructions guide you through the setup, allowing you to quickly customize lighting, ventilation, and watering exactly as you want.

Once you have downloaded the app, you just power on the controller and open the app. It will help you access your wifi and set up all the settings, so that in the future you have full control over your system including access to updates and App Support

It is important to ensure that equipment and surroundings are kept clean when growing plants indoors.

It is the owners responsibility to ensure that users of the system are aware of problems that can arise if the system is not maintained. CultiKit is available with different types of accessories (pots/grow systems, fans, etc.) – please read the following based on the setup you have:

  • Check wires and ports on the controller regulary, dust them off or use a small vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
  • Regularly clean the LED panels with a damp cloth and wipe afterwards with a dry, dust-free cloth. It is a good idea to clean the diodes once a year for optimal operation (unplug the panel, remove screws on the back and take off the casing).
  • If you use fans, clean them with a damp cloth regularly for optimal operation.
  • Make sure pots or grow systems are cleaned regularly.
  • If you use aeroponic or hydroponic grow systems, it is recommended to clean it at least every two weeks (or everytime you change the water).
  • If you use soil with bottom irrigation, you should clean the container at least once a month. Remove the inner pot, clean it for dirt on the outside and clean the water container.
  • If you use pot or growsystem with wick for automatic watering, it is also important to check the wick for algae growth and clean the container properly as described above.
  • Pumps and hoses used in growsystem or selfwatering pots should be checked regularly and cleaned together with the container. It is a good idea to use products developed for regular maintenance of aeroponic and hydroponic systems for optimal operation.

It is important to ensure that equipment and surroundings are kept clean when growing plants indoors.

How much energy does the system use?
CultiKit is a low voltage system with low energy consumption. The energy consumption depends on how many LED panels, fans and pumps that are connected, how long they run and at what power they run. A controller with 3 LED panels, 2 fans and 1 pump connected at 100% power and runs 12 hours a day uses approx. 30-40W. For comparison, a 42” LED TV uses 70-90W.

If something does not operate as it should, what do I do?
Check as the first troubleshooting here in the guide or check our support and see if you can solve the problem. CultiKit comes with a 2 year warranty so any damage that may happen during shipping or normal wear and tear is covered under the warranty. We will send you replacement parts at no cost to you. Contact support for replacement.

Can I go on vacation and leave my plants?
Yes, as long as you have an irrigation system that supports it you can go on holiday without anyone having to look after your plants.

Are the CultiKit LED lights full spectrum?
Yes, the LED panels consist of efficient Samsung LM301B diodes with a carefully selected mix of 3000K and 5000K LED diodes that ensures a full-spectrum light.

How long does the LED panels last?
Our LED panels and Samsung diodes have a documented lifespan of 50,000 hours. That’s a lot of hours, for example is there 8,765 hours in a year.

Can I adjust the lighting schedule and the lights’ intensity?
Yes, you can easily adjust both on the controller button and with CultiApp. Choose the time of day your lights turn on and at what intensity to balance your plants.

Can I adjust sequence on fans and pumps?
Yes, you can easily adjust both with CultiApp. Choose the time of day your fan and pumps turn on, at what power and how they make the on/off loop (for wind simulation and pump sprayer settings). Check out support for tips and tricks.
